Our Directors
Mr. Patterson currently teaches K-5 Music at Carl A. Furr Elementary. He's been a music educator for 17 years, helping students expose their inner-musician and experience success through making and creating music. As a graduate of the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, he brings with him the passion and performance knowledge to help students reach their music goals. Mr. Patterson plays professionally in and around the Charlotte area as a drummer with various Charlotte-based musicians. He has a love for cars, racing, running, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and two sons!

David Barnaba
Mr. Barnaba currently teaches K-5 Music at Pitts School Road Elementary. He's been a music educator for 25 years, and loves to see the growth his students make from Kindergarten to 5th grade. A graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, NY, Mr. Barnaba has a true desire to help students reach their musical goals and beyond. Mr. Barnaba loves spending time with his wife and two daughters!
